Krijger’s (1914-1979) deer sculpture, Hert, has a number of structural problems. The torso is cedar driftwood, but is very compromised and will only lead to further problems; furthermore, the metal pieces are rust-covered, and the antlers have been clipped. This looks to be a very challenging and complex job, but we are very excited for the opportunity and the unusual skill sets it will require. Stay tuned for more…
Bravo Kari, Peter and associates! I have been doing research on Henk Krijger’s life and works since the late 1970s. If I can be of help in any way, please contact me.
