Lawrence Mazzanovich (1871 – 1959) received his education at the Art Institute of Chicago followed by the Art Student’s League of New York. First working in Westport, Connecticut, Mazzanovich would move to Tyson, North Carolina, where he found great inspiration in the Blue Ridge Mountains. His landscapes are known for their striking colors.
