Losa Restoration – Part 1: Cleaning

Lithograph came into Miller Fenwood with numerous problems: water damage, scuff marks, a tear, and built-up dust on front and reverse. Watch for updates as we restore water stains and other damage.

Luis Lopez Losa was born in 1939 in Mexico City. Before going abroad to New York, and studying at the Pratt Graphic Art Center, Losa studied in the “Esmeralda” School of Painting and Sculpture, and the Center of Applied Arts. He was part of the Rupture generation of artists that became known in the 1950s. Temporarily and permanently, his works can be found at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, J. Paul Getty Museum and, the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
