Portrait by Marcial Gomez

This large – approx. 40 x 50″ – oil on canvas by Spanish painter Marcial Gomez came to us with severe cupping and extensive cracking in the black painted ares. The painting was hydrated, set down and re-lined with a new linen, then in-painted as necessary. The new frame is a 4″ wide Spanish ‘Ear’ carved style in 22 carat gold.
