Political Action Posters

Posters dating from the 1940s came in with tears, acid stains, and deep folds. Several months of blotter work, keeping them pressed under heavy weights with rounds of hydration applied from the reverse, took the folds out of them. Acid stains were then addressed and tears mended and in-paintied. Finally they were placed in mats to help make their presentation more manageable as they are destined for classroom settings.
