The Saugatuck Douglas Historical Society found this gem of a plein air watercolor that is similar in style and technique taught by the Ox-Bow School from the 1930’s to the 1960’s. These paintings are wonderful because they capture the entrepreneurial free spirit, an important moment in Saugatuck’s history.
